A hacker that claim to have stolen database from three U.S. healthcare organisation and has advertised more than 650,000 patient record is up for sale on Dark Net, increased that number to over 9 million.
The hacker, who goes by the name of "thedarkoverlord", is also holding the record for ransom, asking the as-yet-unnamed healthcare organisations to pay $100,000 for the first three database, according to two published reports.
A security researcher reported, that the hacker is reqesting an additional 750 Bitcoins value at nearly $500,000, for the fourth database with patient information including name, address, phone and social security numbers
